The Bioengineering and Bioscience Unified Graduate Students (BBUGS) is the largest, most diverse, graduate student group on the Georgia Tech campus.

The BBUGS group serves as the core student group for the bioengineering and bioscience community. As an interdisciplinary graduate student group, comprised of 8 different departments, the group's home is the Petit Institute.

About IBB

The Petit Institute for Bioengineering and Bioscience (IBB) has been the heart of Georgia Tech's thriving life sciences community since 1995 and offers a bold variety of cutting-edge biotechnology research. Now in its 15th year, IBB has revolutionized the term "interdisciplinary research,"

IBB is the heart of the Georgia Tech bio-community and was recently recognized by the National Academies as a model for academic interdisciplinary research.  IBB acts as a catalyst for innovative biotechnology research and is home to over a dozen research centers.  Learn more.
