Tom Spencer is a scientist with over 17 years of research, development and manufacturing experience.  Tom currently is a Director in the Bioprocess Research and Development group at Tengion Laboratories in Winston-Salem, NC.  Tengion is a leader in the field of Regenerative Medicine, developing novel treatments for tissue and organ failure.  Tom has extensive knowledge of GMP manufacturing and his expertise includes experimental design and statistical modeling for product testing and process development.  Tom has a BS and PhD in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech.  

This talk will be a presentation of Tengion’s products and technology, with specific details about the Neo-Bladder Augment™ and discussion of how the development of Regenerative Medicine products compare to established medical therapies.
