Southern Polytechnic State University (SPSU) invites applications for a part-time faculty position as an adjunct professor of Biology, beginning the Spring semester of 2014. SPSU is a member institution in the University System of Georgia, offering degrees in science and technology related programs, including Bachelor's degrees in Biology, and Chemistry. Southern Polytechnic is located about 20 minutes northwest of Atlanta, Georgia in the historic city of Marietta. See for more information. Applicants should have no less than a M.S. in biology or a closely-related field, although applicants with significant accumulated graduate credit will be considered. Previously documented teaching experience is preferred. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a single Principles of Biology I lecture and two lab sections. Principles of Biology I lecture is scheduled on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:15 pm. Two Principles of Biology I labs are scheduled for Wednesday, one from 2:00-4:50 pm and another from 7:30-10:20 pm.
